Project12 and Blogoversary Winners!!

Welcome and Thank you to ALL that participated!!!

I started this blog to enter Project12, so I thought it would be appropriate
to post the winners of my Blogoversary with my first entry for this year's Project12
"Here is how it works:
Becky will post, both here on the blog, a beautiful double page sketch on the last Saturday of each month for use the following month. Davinie Fiero will post a page example to get your creative juices started! When the new sketch is revealed, everyone who has sent us an image or a gallery link of their completed page for the previous month, will be entered into a draw to win a fabulous prize from one of our advertising partners! You can send us your image, or a link, to ideas@scrapbookandcards.com with “Project 12” in the subject line.
The first sketch for January 2010 and official launch of Project 12 was in December, 2009. Each sketch is posted on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog at http://www.scrapbookandcardstodaymag.typepad.com/ and here as a downloadable pdf so that anyone can join in and catch up. Imagine a beautiful album showing off your whole year in 12 easy steps!" (taken from http://www.scrapbookandcards.com/project-12)

You do not have to follow the sketch and you can create a one page layout according to the rules...what they want is to encourage you to journal your life.
I created this two page layout (I did not follow the sketch -- last year I did, but decided that this is the format I will follow this year for all or most of my Month-In-Reviews like I will call them)
I used lots of machine stitching.
Ambulance from Cricut Paper Dolls Every Day --Glossy Accents for tires and red cross -- Sharpie silver marker for bumpers and handle.
Letters and numbers from Cricut Base Camp with layers.
Everyday Cricut cartridge for BugCircle cut.
Gypsy Wanderings for Snow word.
Snowflakes are Sizzix dies.
EK punches.
All metal snowflakes are from MM and I colored the all stones with Copic R39.
Stamps - Studio G, Stampendous, Tim Holtz.
Embossing clear powder - a la Mode; green distress by Ranger.
VersaMark watermark in champagne and Marvy brush markers in several colors for word FAMILY.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope at least one of you decides to play with Projec12 this year!
(last year, I only finished 4!  It is my goal to create all 12 this year!)

A Layout for CookingWithCricut

Today is CookingWithCricut DT
Challenge #18 Wednesday
and the challenge is
Swirls, Twirls or Flourishes

I created this one page layout to start an album for my sister that
just turned 40 on Sunday!!  Her boyfriend with a little help from us her 3 sisters planned a big party!!
And she wanted everybody to wear and everything to be Black and Turquoise!
Nothing like waiting 'till the last minute and noticing the Glossy Accents did not dry!
...and noticing I could have added more half pearls to the "Celebrate" title!
... and now that I take a gook look, I want to add a number 40 on top of the cake.....
I used one of Melin's files -- Celebrate
Swiss dots embossing folder, glossy accents, puffy white paint and half pearls.

This is a sneak peek of a 3 layer banner I created for her party -- will post later with a "how-to" Thanks for visiting!!!
Go check what the rest of the DT created!!
and to enter the challenge!! Melin always has this beautiful files as giveaways!!

Graphic45 Playtimes Past Card and Home Decor

Today the DT members at Creative Cutter Room
got to play with Graphic45 Playtimes Past Collection
Graphic45 has some beautiful vintage collections!
And they are our sponsors!!
Last year when I started scrapbooking,
I fell in love with the Transatlantique Collection.
I created a card and decorated a vase.
I had fun cutting my own blouse and skirt.
I used MS and EK punches for skirt -- Tulle -- Stitching -- Ranger Walnut Ink
I used the Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge for the flowers and a Sizzix die for the flourishes.
Inked everything with Ranger Walnut ink and added some glass beads.

Thanks for visiting!
and thank you to our sponsor

Don't forget to go visit the Design Team's other creations

You have 6 more days to link any valentine's project
