Love Your Pet Blog Hop

Welcome to GabyCreates and to the Love Your Pet Blog Hop hosted by my BFF Abby

Hopefully you just arrived here from Abby's blog, but if you just happen to be visiting and wish to participate, please start at her blog by clicking HERE

This blog was inspired by those sad commercials that I think  make most get teary eyed sponsored by ASPCA ~Main Page: http://www.aspca.org/april

Abby did research and found that ASPCA holds a "Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" during the month of April and encourages people to "Go Orange for Animals"!

So our projects had to be about our pets and to incorporate the color orange!
My Basic Grey POTM Kit that I had not yet used from last year is the perfect one for this occasion.
Thanks for visiting and leaving me a comment for a chance at a set of Stamps!!
Now it is time to go visit KICH
And make sure you comment on all blogs for a chance at
Abby's giveaway!!

Blog Hop Royal Ball

Welcome to GabyCreates
and to the
Royal Ball Blog Hop

Hopefully you just arrived here from visiting Mel from ScrappyMel, but if you just happen to be visiting and wish to participate, please start HERE

Today I created these sceptres ~ (or scepter in U.S. English) is a symbolic ornamental rod or wand borne in the hand by a ruling monarch as an item of royal or imperial insignia.
I just thought that these sceptres would go so well with our tiara's lol (if you got to see us on Ustream, you know that Theresa "made" us all wear a tiara!)
I created a dozen for each of the attendees at the Ustream party hosted by The Queen herself!

I used Gypsy Wandering to cut at 3" with it's layers and shadow cut twice to adhere one to the back (I forgot to take pictures of the back!) I additionally used tulle, bling and dowels and my glue gun (I am just becoming used to the glue gun. I tried cleaning all that extra glue, but I can see on my picture a bit of it!).

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment for a chance at a Tim Holtz sander!
Make sure you do the hop for a chance at amazing prizes being given at TheScrapbookingQueen.com and the other fellow bloggers!

The scrap booking challenge will be the first Wednesday of the month, but make sure you go visit other Wednesdays for different challenges that include cards.

This week"s Challenge #1:
“ Make a Spring or Easter themed scrapbook LO adding a critter or a bug on it”

This is a layout of my niece (now in college!). I have always loved this picture of her!
A little on the bright side, but here (below) is a darker version:
I kind of like it darker a bit better (the sun was bright!)
I will let my sister do the journal entry (couldn't get a hold of her to ask her for exact dates)
I was inspired (scrap lifted) by Jana Eubank's LO she created of her daughters'-- even though she did not provide instructions, I figured it out and changed some things around.
Cricut cuts:
Mother's Day Bouquet~ Flower at 3.5" and 1.97" center using Gypsy ~Leaf at 2.53", 1.94" and 1.74"
George and Basic Shapes~ Circles at 12.10", and 2" ~Circles for journal at 4.27" and 3.49"
Cricut Everyday~ Outer scalloped circle at 11.38" and 3.33" for journal circle.
MS All Occasions~ Letters at .70"
Other:
MS punch for butterflies.
AC (dark green), DCWV (Embossed white), Core'Dinations card stock, vellum.
