Project Life | Weeks 39-45

I meant to share sooner but just could not make it outside to take good or decent pictures of my super thick PL album!  And speaking of thick album I had to go purchase a wider/thicker one because all my pages would not fit!

This time I am also including a LO, actually I included three more LO to my PL but the other two I have previously shared here on my blog.

And here are weeks 39 and 40 combined. Even thou I did take plenty of pictures these two weeks, I did not take pictures every single day and that is just OK with me.

Used Simple Stories Snap collection cards, Basic Grey abc stickers,  a tad of stitching,
and some fun stamping!

I used a Basic Grey POTM kit to create my LO tweaking it just a bit and adding stitching.

I followed the LO of the intended POTM with the exception of adding my title.
I changed the design a bit here on my journaling by adding the arrow button and a different stamp just because I felt it went better with the colors of my pictures.
Kept this area pretty much the same... just added stitching all around my LO.  Oh almost forgot that instead of using the PP for my background I used black cardstock from AC once again just because it looks better in my opinion.  It brings out my pictures better.  OK enough of that, on to my PL.

Week 41

For this week I used dies from MFT and PTI to adorn the main 4"x6" card. Love those little cameras! The journaling cards are from the Simple Stories Snap collection. Love how cheery and bright they are!
I created a LO of my grand daughter Jasmine dressed as a pirate because I just LOVE that face!!!
You can see it HERE
I started a LO to record the fun time I had with the girls up north but cannot seem to finish it (cannot find the right paper, ha!  Actually I was trying to recreate the above LO with different papers but keep liking the BG ones on that particular LO...)

Week 42

This week was a sad one for my family.  My aunt Lourdes passed away.
I stamped the ribbon using MCT breast cancer awareness ribbon stamp and colored it in black.
Once again I used the Simple Stories Snap collection for my journaling cards and dies from PTI and MFT to cut the numbers, letters and phrase.

Week 43

This was really very simple.  I just added BG stickers to form the week phrase and numbers, stamped the dates and wrote my journaling entries!  The cards are all ready and pretty like that! (they look like I added washi tape, banners, die cuts, etc)

Week 44

Another very simple and quick to create pages with the Simple Stories cards.  This time I used their Fall collection to go with my Fall theme.

Thirteen days after my aunt Lourders passed away, we lost my uncle Arturo....
not nice!  He was one of my favorite uncle and I have tons of great memories of him :(
I created a LO and shared it during El Día De Los Muertos HERE

On a cheery note, I love that I got to see these pictures of my soon to be born grandson!!!

And one more!!
Week 45

Once again a super simple LO to create with this bright and cheerful Simple Stories Snap cards and dies from PTI and a couple of washi stickers!

I have a couple of pictures of the new album I purchased to replace my previous thinner one.
I had purchased several of these green albums to be "prepared" for future years and because I like matchy matchy! but love the new ones even thou they are not green, HA!  I also like red and brown and go with my home decor as well.  I found them at Joann and have purchased a couple of brown ones and a red one and I like them both.  They are pricey but have use a coupon for one and was lucky to walk into the store when they had a 50% off sale.

You can see that the green album is bursting! LOL  and I have not yet included the 12"x12" pouch that holds all the mementos/memorabilia from the year!

That is it for me for now.  I will probably come back and share a few more pages next week and soon will start sharing the pages for this 2013 year.  This year I will try not to add too many 3-D embellishments to keep it "thinner" and will not concentrate so much on a "daily" picture but more like a week in review.

Come back Saturday for a fun hop I am participating with and hosted by my BFF Abby.

Disney LO | Disney Gives Back Blog Hop

Welcome to GabyCreates and to the
Disney Gives Back Blog Hop

Hopefully you just arrived from Rachelle's blog, if not and you wish to participate, please start with our host Shawnee HERE

This wonderful blog hop was created out of a desire to give back to a wonderful organization called Crops of Luv. Throughout the hop, you will see layouts from talented crafters who have chosen to give back and help make these children's days brighter.
Crops of Luv makes albums for Make A Wish Albums for families who go to Disneyland or Disney World. Please visit and support each crafter and also if you would like to make layouts for Crops of Luv you can do so by contacting Crops of Luv at http://www.cropsofluv.com or address below.

I created this layout without a cutting machine (a different approach for me...).and inspired by a LO kit by BG
Here been held/displayed on my Scrap'n Easel--
I made sure that each character is only adhered outside of the white mat area so that the pictures can be tacked in under.  I additionally did not add much adhesive to the mats so that if the recipient prefers to not have them or change them, it will be easy to lift them.
I just could not help myself so I stamped the "[picture not available]" image/sentiment (I know, new stamp!)... and why did I have to have ink on my finger and got it on the mat area just before taking my pictures.... I will change tomorrow before mailing it out.
My intent for this layout is that it's utilized for pictures of the trip there... I remember how exciting it was every time as a kid when our parents took us to Disneyland!  It always started with the LONG! 2 hour drive! LOL  It was almost like Christmas Eve (the waiting part).

Thanks so much for stopping by and hopefully you are inspired to create and mail a 2 page layout to Crops of Luv!

Our grand prize blog candy is a set of Stamps from CardzTV Stamps set Encouraging Thoughts. You get one entry for hopping with us and a 2nd entry if you make a 2 page layout for Crops of Luv and mail it.

Strike A Pose | Happy N Scrappin'

Today I have a two page layout that I created for
Happy N Scrappin'
using the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Howdy Doody Collection

This is my Lauren posing for Grandpa/Camera-- she loves to pose and make faces (I am amazed she smiled here instead of making silly faces or opening her eyes super wide).
I had lots of fun creating this layout --
I was able to use the cute brads, twine and embellishments included in this girly collection!
For this tag I used a SEI tag just by changing the cord to MME's twine.
This tag I had in my collection but you can find Tim Holtz tags at the STORE.
The journal card is from the Project Life collection I already had in my studio.
I added a sticker from the MME's collection and a Tim Holtz mini paper clip.
A closer look at the tag and twine (notice how I created the kite's tail with the MME's twine).
Here a closer look at the kite using the PP included in the MME's collection, some twine and an embellishment also from the collection.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment!

Kissing Booth | Two Page Layout

Sharing a two page layout that I created for Happy N Scrappin'

I love love this picture! and love that it is on a layout now!
The Fancy Pants Love Story has the perfect color combination for my picture. I just really love when my paper and pictures match.  (I took attention away from Jasmine's green shirt by adding my title on top--I know, me covering green? lol)
All designs/cuts are from the Silhouette Online store -- the notebook edge I created using a EK punch.
Added some of the latest released Strawberry Truffle and Aqua Delight  and Valentine's twine and machine stitching.

Love how the Timeless Twine in Strawberry Truffle and Aqua Delight match my paper!

I added the journal entry using Photoshop Elements on an included tag (in the collection kit)
Hope you have a wonderful day! ~Gaby
