Cooking With Cricut Design Team Launch!!!!!

I created this LO with Melin's
beautiful designs/cut files

I am honored that she selected me
as one of her designers!

This layout is of my MOM

She collected elephants!!

A bit of story......
I grew up seeing my mom love her garden flowers (she had a green thumb).
I also remember her huge custom made bird cage/house. We had tons of Parakeets.
We use to called them Love Birds.
She use to sing to them and with them and she was a singer in her youth.
And she loved, loved to collect elephants, hence the flowers, birds, music note paper
 and elephants!

I couldn't take better pictures!

Click on any picture to enlarge.

Supplies:

This time I have design #31, a tree.....

After searching on the Internet I came across this quote,

A grove is a small growth of trees without underbrush.

Gaby Abby Challenges with SEI Week 2

First of all --- the winner of Gaby Abby Challenges Week 1 is Amanda Villarreal!!!!
Amanda, make sure you contact Abby or Me by Wednesday to send you your prize!!!!

Now for the Challenge.
This week Abby created a sketch using Photoshop.
Create a Layout or a card using the sketch. Any way you wish to interpret.

Here is my take on Abby's sketch.
Remember that you can copy a sketch exactly, or use it as a starting point. Sketches are versatile. Use them as they are or flip them, rotate them, take away elements, or add your own.
BEST ACTRESS IN A HORROR MOVIE!!
Lauren was throwing a tantrum and got this! upset because Grandpa decided to take pictures of her while she was acting up!

I used SEI's Monsterville Collection for this Layout
The background paper is silly simon 8-4712
It is a two sided paper Yellow and black, so I used both sides.
Yellow 12"x12" and the black side 9"x9"
The theater's audience was hand cut from the monster mash 8-4707
I used a ek success punch for the black scallop.
The theater curtains were cut with red Recollections paper
using a Sizzix scallop die for the top valance and the rest I hand cut two strips of 1/2" and adhere together.
The monster on the right was creating using the die cuts and the sticker sheets
included on the Monsterville collection.
The film reel, film camera, and film strip were all cut using SilhouetteSD.
the letters for the words Best Actress were cut using Cricut Base Camp cartridge and the Expression
at 1" with it's shadow welded using the Gypsy.
