Home Sweet Home Release Blog Hop | DEE

Welcome to my blog and to the Home Sweet Home Release Blog Hop from Dilo En Español   I hope you just arrived from there.
I am so proud of my BFF, my comadrita Abby because actually, this is the start of "Say it in English."  Abby was encouraged by a very sweet person that just loved the images to start a small line of stamps in English.  She will probably have a set every couple of months with stamps in Spanish remaining the main hot items. The illustrator of these darling images is Lizeth from Super-Scrapbook.  Lizeth is from Guadalajara, México and owns her own paper line with the same name.
OK on to my projects.  As soon as I received this paper from MME I knew I would be using it with the "casitas" (little houses) as soon as I received my stamps.  If you follow my blog you know that I keep a Project Life | Life Documented journal.  This year I have not shared on my blog and I am a bit behind but, I am still keeping my PL | LD journal.  Additionally, this year I still could not come up with my "title" page but as soon as I saw this paper in combination with these adorable stamps that were coming my way, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for my title page.  This is my title page for 2013.
All the stamps you see here are from the set!  The paper with all the white chalk frames was perfect for the chalk effect and the perfect size to stamp the cute houses and phrases!
Here I just added or doodled some hearts with a red pencil.

For this area I used the "Live in harmony" stamp from the set and for that oh so typical of a cassette side A I used the square stamp using black ink and the A using white embossing powder from the set "tu crucigrama" newest set!  Yes I grew up with cassettes! and I love music so this is just perfect for me.
I hand stitch the "hello" word and die cut the rest.
After I finished the above project I, not being too happy with my white ink stamping thought on creating something else.  So I set out to create this card using mainly an embossing technique.

I almost did not share this card because I "ruined" the embossing of the clouds... yeap! why did I decide to add the clouds after I had assembled my card with the 3D adhesive? oh yeah, I did do that!   LOL  So I set out to do a third project.
I remember I had some pictures of my grand daughter Lauren playing with her house Christmas day, so perfect for my layout!

I had so much fun creating this layout with lots of stamping and glitter!
Lots of stamping and paper piecing of these cute cute houses! It was time consuming and labor of love for sure! I paper pieced the windows, doors, trims and part of some roofs.

For this cluster of houses on the below picture, using a masking technique and memento pen inks I was able to add the lamp and cute flowers.  phew! I most definitely needed and used my reading glasses!
"Mi casa es su casa" is a dear to my heart phrase because I grew up in a culture of very welcoming warm people.  We love and enjoy being the host!
Hope you enjoyed my projects and provided you with some ideas to use this super cute and versatile set (also available in Spanish).

PRICE!! One lucky person will receive the stamp set "Home Sweet Home" and 20 yards of the new solid colors from the The Twinery brand.
