Welcome to Gaby Creates
and to the
Beach Party Blog Hop
Hopefully you just arrived from Karla's Blog
but if you are just stopping by to say Hi! and wish to participate, please start with Abby.
As I was looking for pictures to create a Scrap Page/Layout, I came across these pictures of my nephews and niece (my oldest brother's children). I cannot believe that these kids are in their 40s now...(if you are doing the math, trying to figure out how old I am, let me just tell you that it is a half brother and my father was 20 years older than my mother!)... the cutie pie to the left is in heaven now...
This time I did not use any cutting machines. I only used two dies from Sizzix.
I used the sketch from the Simply Scrapping Crafts Challenges to guide me... Some of you might know that I am a DT member over at SSC -- I am sad to announce that the owner is closing the Ning community due to health issues at the end of June-- Good luck Judy, wish you well and better health!
I used the Queen & Co. Summer Fun Collection that you can find over at
Happy N Scrappin'
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment... before you hop to Erin's Blog
want to remind you that any comment left on my blog during the month of June, will enter you into the Scrap n Easel Giveaway!!

A Watermelon Layout
Today I created a layout of my babies eating watermelon for today's
Cooking With Cricut Challenge
Everybody loves watermelon, but Jasmine is obsessed with it since she was a baby.
My niece and even my fur baby Tiny got in the watermelon fun!
I used Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge, DCWV black and green cardstock, and the Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer Collection.
For my base I scored the green cardstock at every inch, folded it and painted the folded edge with Adirondack white acrylic paint dabber to give it the watermelon effect/look.
Stitched around with sewing machine, added ribbon and some buttons.
For the watermelon seeds I used a Viva pearl pen in black.
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, and visiting CWC to take a peek at what my DT sisters created!
Reminder: Every comment during the month of June, enters you into the Scrap n Easel Giveaway!!

A Splish Splash Layout
Today I created a layout using the Queen & Co. Summer Fun Collection that you can find at Happy N Scrappin'
My daughter took my grand babies to a park in my neighborhood that has a water fountain? on the ground. Lauren said she was thirsty and waited for the water to come out to drink up some! I just love the pictures my daughter snapped of her.
I was able to use several Cricut cartridges to create this layout using my Gypsy.
H2O - Splish Splash title cut twice
Pack Your Bags - Pool like background
Speaking of School - Water Fountain (hand cut the water)
Sports Mania - Making a Splash title (hide contour - only use the water)
Wall Décor and More - Water border
I used a Tim Holtz white paint dubber to highlight all around the water and added some MS glitter.
