Today I am sharing a LO I created for a friend. He use to be my assistant and decided to call it quits last year! We remain great friends. Last year as a "see you later" (retirement present) I asked him for pictures so that I can create a scrapbook of his memorable moments at work, specially with the kids... Little did I know (or that he knew) He gave me a CD with 147 pictures!! say what? I meant a usual 10 page scrapbook album (he obviously had no idea, LOL). Now I am trying to play catch up and the easiest way is to scrap lift or use my favorite PageMaps as a starting point (otherwise and most often it takes me too long to come up with a design). So I set out to visit the PageMaps Blog and came across this sketch:
and here is my take:
Ted enjoyed his work mostly because of the interactions he had with the kids (and he just loved working with me, Ha! ... you'll see in future Lo's)
I was able to use a couple of the several pictures he gave me of his participation on the Pirates of Penzance play along with our kids.
I never thought that I would combine these colors (pinks and blue/greens with red) but I think it works. I wanted to bring out the colors on the pictures.
The letters I used are glitter clear stickers from Colorbok.
The take note journal card I created it using an exclusive to SSS by Kelly Purkey.
The mustache had to be added because I read that in this comedic play one of the previous actors to play Mayor-General Stanley made fun of it by wearing one in an exaggerated way, and Ted wore none!
