Que Puntada | DEE Feb Challenge

And this is my 5th entry, I believe, to DEE February Challenge

Challenge: Pinterest pin inspiration from one of DEE's Pinterest boards

This time I actually was inspired by several pins found on the Que Puntada board HERE
where you can find creations by Liz, Yoshira and Abby.

 I really like how this card came out even though I had a little mishap at the end when stamping the stitching around the card.... doesn't it always happen like that? :)
First I lay down all the stamps where I wanted them and "picked" them up with a clear block, inked it and stamped it in one shot.
I die cut the faux stitching with PTI dies.  The heart was die cut with a MFT heart die and "embedded" in the card (cut first in place desired, cut again in red and placed in spot).
I stamped again the spool, the scissors and the tiny heart, hand cut them and added on top of the stamped images.  I wrapped some twine on the spool, note that I kept the stamped needle (I could have added pins or a real needle but decided it to leave it).  All the grey items are colored with a sharpie in metallic silver while the measuring tape and sewing machine where colored with Copics.
Finished it with a few embellishments such as enamel dots, button and a TH brad.
Almost forgot that I added a stitched scalloped edge cut using a MCT die.

Smart Phone | Sticky Note | DEE Challenge

Today I am entering once again the DEE February challenge

Challenge: to be inspired by a pin on any of Dilo En Español's Pinterest boards.

And this is my second try at a card for my friend who asked me for a Cyber hug.

 I have been wanting to use this sticky smart phone pad that I found at my local store.  Isn't it cool? I also found the larger sticky note version of an iPad or tablet.

I was waiting to go visit my comadrita/BFF to get my hands on several stamps including this so that I can document my excitement when I noticed that the airline I was boarding offered Wi-Fi... I know, I'm a nerd! LOL

So here is the 3x4 card I created for my December journal | December documented | December daily to document day 23rd.

 I like how chunky (raised) the letters look with the embossing.

This is the cover of my album.  I will hopefully be sharing all of my pages this week.

I know the challenge is to get inspired by a DEE pin and I already knew I was going to create this since December ... so I cheated a little :)   Lucky me I found two pins using this stamp on DEE Pinterest.  You can find one here by Myr Castañeda which actually inspired me to create a card to send to a friend that just yesterday while we were talking shared he was having a hard time.  In our conversation I said that if we were closer (distance wise) I would give him a hug, to which he replied to send him a Cyber Hug! so I almost immediately thought of creating a card with this Wi-Fi stamp and a sentiment from the set Vuela Alto that says "Te mando un abrazo."  I am not too happy with my card.  I tried a new technique and I think I ruined it :)

I tried water coloring with shimmer water colors ....
