Instead of using the sewing machine, I doodled.

Catching Air at 45 A Two-Page LO using BG Origins

Welcome to the bi-monthly challenge
at ScrapTiffany
Today the challenge is Sports

I created this two page layout using the Basic Grey POTM
that you can find at HappyNScrappin

This is Angel (aka DH) --He use to ride at a competitive level in his younger days....

He is so proud of these pictures and the fact that he was still riding at 45. But after a few bumps and bruises (actually, broken bones, tore ligaments and couple a concussions!!).....
He is now all into Golf, but won't let go of the Dirt Bike, just in case....

I added some machine stitching to the upper left page and the lower right page and the bottom labels.
The labels are from the Cricut Embossing Plus Fanciful Labels --I printed on my printer and than cut/embossed.

Hopscotch Basic Grey POTM - Feb 2011

Happy Tuesday Morning! and Welcome to GabyCreates.Com
Today I have created Basic Grey's Two-Page Feb 2011 POTM  using
their oh! so cute Hopscotch collection.

Basic Grey and BG POTM is my first Craft Love!  I try to stick to
the instructions given most of the time, but I do like adding my own twists here and there.

My Twists:
The instructions included are pretty easy to follow and detailed, but they leave to your
discretion how or how many embellishments you use and where you place them.
1-Added floss to some of the buttons.
2-Inked every piece with distress ink.
3-Added faux stitches in addition to the ones pictured on instruction sheet.
4-Instead of using the letters included, I used BG micro chipboard letters.  I inked them, added embossing ink and embossed with holographic embossing powder.
5-I hand wrote the word grandmas with embossing pen and added embossing holographic powder.
6-I stamped the little cell phone.

I almost forgot to mention that the owners of Happy N Scrappin' are so generous that you get two sheets of each paper required to complete your layout, even if you only need a piece of one sheet!!!

Two-Page LO with BG Jovial - HappyNScrappin Designer

and my first posting as Designer for

This Two-Page LO is the December Basic Grey's Page Of The Month (BG POTM).  You can find it at HappyNScrappin at a great discounted price!

Even though you receive detail instructions with each kit, you can improvise or change, take or add any element or embellishment you wish to make a bit more you!
For the left bottom page I pretty much follow the instructions with the exception of two additional two Jovial Pops/ornaments, I decided I liked it with just one.
For the right page: I adhered the 1/4" strip of BG Jovial Scarf under the artisan label instead of on top. I decided to adhered the artisan to a piece of kraft cardstock and pop dotted it to give it more dimension. I additionally used the label facing the opposite way and added a piece of ribbon.
