Welcome to my blog and to the
Baby Blog Hop
If you just arrived from Patty's Blog, you are in the right place, but if you just stop to say hi and wish to participate, please start at the beginning with our host Sylvia HERE
Today I made a set of baby cards to give to my cousin so she can give as thank you cards once her baby boy is born or as thank you cards for the baby shower she just had.
I had a bit of a hard time coming up with boy "stuff" or "embellishing" the cards since I only have a daughter and grand daughters!
One of the cards I stamped. The front middle card will be for her from me.
I used the Chomas adjustable pen holder to write the inside sentiment.
This is the file I used from the Silhouette online store:
This is what it looked like on my mat after taking the a and Baby off.
And this is how I will present to her as soon as I go to the store and purchase envelopes (do not have the appropriate size on hand).
Your next stop is Anita

Project Life | Weeks Five and Six
Today I am sharing two weeks worth... lots of pictures!
WEEK 5
Highlights:
-My daughter got to create her first project with the Cricut E I gave her for her birthday.
-Lauren dresses up to shop at Wal-Mart.
-I started reading An Invisible Thread.
-Loved walking into a store to see Coke from México. (it does taste different! in a stronger kind of way) I am not a soda drinker, but do remember the taste. And I do have an aunt that since I can remember has a Coke (small from México) with an Aspirin every morning! She is 74?
-Lauren having a bad hair day... and more.
Week five is all about crazy stitching...
for the week 5 title I used a Kerri Bradford file and for the file folder I used a Lori Whitlock file found over at the Silhouette online store.
I love the Coca-Cola button/tin pin I made with my button maker! --picture from Google images. I also made a tin pin button with a bookworm.
I am loving the SU mini library clip! The card is actually a library card that I got from my work (librarian).
The image of the book was from Amazon. The other journal cards are a free file from MissTina
For my second page, or other side, I decided to make it into a 12x12 layout so that I can use the layout previously shared HERE on the other side for week 6.
Here I used Fiskars heart punch, SU butterfly embosslit, and PTI heart edge.... The journal cards are actually cards used in the library to keep track of magazines.
This is the first time that I sew on top of chipboard, and it worked (easy!).
If you notice I did lots of crazy stitching on purpose!...left lots of the thread just hanging....
Close up of the glittery numbers by MAMBI -- I additionally made a tin pin with a vintage picture of a decal that is usually placed in popcorn vending machines.

WEEK 6
Highlights:
-In Daddy heaven.
-Saying hi from the "waffle" place
-Taking over Daddy's computer
and dragging my niece to craft stores...poor kid!... I did get her some McDonald's as a compensation for her time!
For this week I used mostly Fancy Pants Love Story collection to go with my layout.
More Lori Whitlock file folder cut file and Kerri Bradford's files for the week title.
Added some twine and scraps in the shape of triangles (scalene or obstuse?) triangles are the coming trend... right now we have hexagons and chevrons...loving them all.
PTI heart die to cut the felt heart border and some Timeless Twine can be seen here.
