Travel - Monte Carlo Two-Page LO

I liked the setting of the Mykonos LO so much that I just had to repeat with just a few changes.

There are four pictures on the left side instead of three.  This time I did buy a sheet of stamps.

I added a velum sentiment with a metal brad instead of two pictures.

I added Jolee's Euros stiker.

The journaling tag and other tags I created using recollections paper and added a metal lock. All other paper is DCWV.

I welded the letters for the words using my Pazzles.

Travel - Mykonos Two-Page LO

I created this layout using or scraplifting a layout my BFF had done in a class.  I did not use the same paper she used and I change the setting a bit.

She had a sheet of stamps and I did not, so I got creative and searched all over the Internet (ok, I just googled Greek stamp under images and I found plenty!). I printed several in different sizes to use here.

The large stamp I hand cut as a tag and is used as a journaling tag. I did not glue the circle nor the picture mat so that it can slide in and out.

I stamped and heat embossed the bubble word "travel".

For this tag I layered with a printed sheet of many stamps together. Not a good picture, but I heat embossed a stamp mark on the tag!?
It looks much better in person!  (why is it that projects always do look better in person than here in picture?, well, hello?!! maybe I need to learn to take better pictures, lol)

Purse with Cards

I created another purse with cards.  This time I used the beautiful Mariposa stack from DCWV.

I used one sheet of Cricut 12x24" card stock for the purse cut using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart and from the leftover (plenty) I cut some butterflies with MS classic butterfly punch.  With one sheet of 12x12" from the Mariposa stack I was able to decorate the purse and the outside of one card that will go inside the purse and the small card that will be given to the recepient of the purse.
I did not take a picture, but with another sheet of Mariposa I made two more cards to go inside the purse.

I need  to create 4-5 more of this purse gift sets for the special people or co-workers at the two high school were I am a librarian/teacher before Thursday (last day of school for teachers).
(I better remember to buy the velcro dots to use so the purse can close)
Thanks for looking!

Teddy Bear without Gypsy or Design Studio

I came across this lovely bear (or a similar one) at Cooking with Cricut. I just loved it and wanted to figure it out!
(it might be the Taurus in me, he he...yeap, I can be stubborn, I mean persistent, I mean determined!)

I you are interested this is what I did:
CUT
Using GEORGE cart-
Circle 2" - Head
Balloon 2 x 1.25" (1 1/4)- Ears
Balloon 2 x .75" (3/4) - Hands
Oval 1.5" (1 1/2) - Face
Oval  .75" (3/4) - Nose
Oval 2 x  .5" (1/2) - Eyes
Using EVERY DAY PAPER DOLL cart- pg 42
Rain coat at 2 x 6"  (it doesn't have to be a raincoat, it can be anything you want)
Umbrella 2 x 6" (two colors)
Hat 5"  (the 6" hat was too big-- you can make his head bigger? and the 4" was too small)
Shoes 6"
HAND CUTS
I cut the small rectangle for the neck and two thinner rectangles for the legs by hand (you can use GEORGE) and hand cut the sleeves on the raincoat to place them differently than EveryDayPaperDoll has it (reason for cutting 2 rain coats - but you can just trace on a piece of same card stock- just an idea?)

I inked everything with distress walnut-
Used pink chalk for the cheeks, ears and hands-
Signo white for eyes and nose-
Sharpie black to draw eyes (black part)
Sharpie brown for stitching

You can see in the picture above how I cut different sizes 'till I was happy with the fit.

Purse - Paper Dolls Dress Up

As I was trying to create something to enter Emma's Thursday Throwback Challenge I decided to make a purse to give to my niece who is getting married on July 11th.  I will give it to her before the wedding as a "just because" gift with thank you cards in it so that she can give the cards to others after the wedding.

Her wedding colors will be Black-White-Tiffany Blue
I cut the purse with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More on a 12x24 piece of black Cricut black card stock to get it at is largest possible.
I cut the bride from Paper Dolls Dress Up at 4"
I cut the head and the hair twice
I colored the bouquet with Copic markers and glued it to the veil so that when the purse opens, the bouquet stays with the veil (or with the illusion that the bride's hands are in the front).
Used Peachy Keen stamps
Pink Chalk - cheeks
White Signo Pen - eyes
