OK, here is my project
I created a Two-Page LO using
Page-Kits (CWC) ginger bread house '09
and Cookies file
For my LO I used AC Jolly Collection paper, Recollections and Core'dinations cardstock.
(the LO sketch is my take from a LO my BFF made at a class using Bo Bunny paper).
For the white to give it the snow effect I used Puffy paint and added glitter before heating.
For the Door I used Sizzix/Tim Holtz woodgrain embossing folder to give it that cabin/woodsy look.
For the gum drops I run them through my Xyron and cover with glitter.
And for the Candy Cane, first I run the white candy cane through the Xyron and adhere the red layers, than I pour glitter to the exposed white areas.
I inked everything with distress ink in walnut and tea dye, and added a gold dew drop as a door knob.
And I just need to share that the Photo Gods were against me last night or this morning  (maybe is just a lesson to learn and not wait 'till the last minute, lol), neither my HP photo printer nor my "I do it all" Lexmark would print correctly~  here is a picture to show you
I had the perfect pictures for my LO!
anyway, I will go to Costo's 1 hr. in the morning and
will share LO with pictures later in the day or
tomorrow~
Came back and also see my project for tomorrow~

Warm Fuzzy things to share

Just a few fuzzy things to share!!

First, it was so exciting to meet Yolie from JustYolie
She is so nice!... we did a double take and I knew I knew her from the Internet... half an hour later, after a wonderful fast paced conversation and a couple of hugs! ... DH had to interrupt! LOL

And last night on Facebook (and my BFF can attest to this~ I hardly ever get on FB... I keep saying I will get there daily!) ... large size stickles led me and Michelle from scrappinwithmybug to a fun conversation and a future friendship!  I never thought that starting a blog would be this rewarding!

And last but not least!~

Cooking With Cricut Baking Challenge!

It is Wednesday and that means we have another challenge over
This time is all about Baking!
I chose this intricate Gingerbread Border
from Melin's beautiful files!!
I embossed the girls' dresses with Sizzix Snowballs embossing folder and the boy's vest I embossed with Sizzix~BG Powder Sugar embossing folder.
I used Liquid Pearls Gold for the boy's vest buttons and decided to use Peachy Keen stamps instead of the cuts included in this file due to the size (my Pazzles had a hard time cutting tiny intricate cuts!). Next time I will cut larger then 4"h!!

I hope you enjoyed~ Thanks for visiting!!!
make sure you visit the other CookingWithCricut Designers and don't forget to enter this week challenge for a chance to win some beautiful files!

Treat Boxes for SEI Challenge! #5

Welcome to another Gaby Abby Challenge with SEI
Thanks to all of you that Hopped with us last Monday!!
and Thank you for your Sweet comments!!!

This week we have a get inspired with this picture Challenge!
EASY!  Right?!
(picture from marthastewart.com)

This is what I came up with using SEI newest Moonrise Collection.
A Popcorn Box w Lid
A Piece of Cake Box
An Origami Cup
~Three super simple treat containers~
For my box I used "Opulence" for the bottom and "Meditation" pattern paper for the top and a file I had purchased a while back, but had not used until now.  You can find it at http://www.myscrapchick.com/ it's from their 30 boxes and more- Popcorn Box with Scallop Lid. I cut it using my Pazzles, but the files come in all sorts of file types for you to cut with different cutting machines such as SilhouetteSD, Gazelle and Cricut using SCAL or MTC.

The only little set back for me was not having the score lines, but actually it was pretty easy to figure out, and on second thought I like it better.  Sometimes the score lines are too deep and frequent and I feel they ruin the project.

For the cake box you can sign up for SEI's Tidbits newsletter HERE
and receive files such as this.
It was super easy to create without even printing or cutting the template.  I just cut a 4"x10" piece of "Enchantment" pattern paper scored in the middle/center and from center top to middle right and middle left. Repeat for next side, punch holes and done!-- no adhesive needed!

They said it's OK to share.

And for the cute origami cup I used "Stillness" pattern paper and this instructions you may get by signing up for their newsletter also or clicking on the picture and printing (or just reading it)- did I mention no adhesive needed for this project either!

I hope you enjoyed my projects and inspire you to create something to enter this challenge or? and win some great SEI product!
Thanks for visiting!
Here is a picture of this week's Giveaway!
Make sure you link your project created for this challenge
