Mother's Day | Para Mamá Challenge

Today May First is my sister and my stepfather's birthday!
Happy Birthday!!

And today is also the start of a challenge over at Dilo En Español
and the challenge is to create anything with the queen of the house in mind.

I created this card and decorated this glassine bag that holds some chocolates!

The quatrefoil and the bag holder are dies from PTI while the bow is a die from MFT die-namics.

The stamp set I used for the sentiments is "The Amo Mami" and the little green butterfly is from the "Notas A La Antigua" set.

The challenge is over at the "Jardin de Dilo En Español's" group on Facebook. You can request to be added.  There are games, prizes and/or inspiration almost everyday!   HERE

Baby LOs | Echo Park Bundle Of Joy

Today I am sharing three layouts I created using the collection Bundle of Joy from Echo Park.  I received an email to enter a contest on EP Facebook page using the Bundle of Joy collection and I got to work!... practicing for my soon to be born grand son!  I don't usually do boy layouts so I thought this is a great opportunity to start!

The first two are for a dear friend that just had her first grand baby!

This first one follows a sketch/design posted on Echo Park's blog HERE  I loved it so much that I created not one, but two single LO changing a bit here and there on each one.

On the above LO I did not add the train at the bottom adding instead two of the included 3x4 journaling cards.  The green paper for the banners is different and it is from the 6x6 matching paper pad.  My top embellishment it's also different.  I added twine from Timeless Twine instead of white floss.
I left the journal card blank for my friend to write in the dates and information.

This is my second LO following the same sketch/design.

This one is of my daughter's baby shower.  I just had to add the fuchsia pink because I was having a hard time with the scarf on the photo "sticking out like a sore thumb" and I did not want to print my pictures in Sepia as I did on the other two layouts.  It's OK, it works for me!

For this layout I just had to add the lion.  My daughter was truly surprised... as she was coming in the house she had been holding to Nala (Disney's character), started crying and just would not let go of the plush toy!  LOL
I documented it with my very old typewriter (does not have corrector) and did not hold my paper well so the typing is a bit crooked! Again, I am OK with it!  I am learning that it does not have to be perfect!
For this LO I did add the train at the bottom but changed all the other embellishments.   Love the yellow and pink Timeless Twine!

For my title I trimmed by hand one of the journal cards and I ended up with this fancy bracket.  Perfect for my baby shower title!

I used the green ruler found on the This and That Girl EP Collection since I do not yet have the Bundle of Joy Girl collection.

And the final layout also using this darling collection...

I was inspired by a PageMaps sketch that you can find on Becky Fleck's blog by clicking on the side bar's slide show (no name or month provided).
I stamped the journaling card with a stamp of a library card.  I think my friend will love it!  She is a retired librarian (oh so lucky!)

That's it for me for today! Thanks for visiting!
