A Windy City, Chicago layout using MM Vintage Findings

Today I created a one page layout of my trip to Chicago with my male BFF
using the Making Memories Vintage Findings Collection that you can find
at Happy N Scrappin'
I used Adobe Photoshop to create my photo collage.  Using Clipping Masks I added our picture and pictures of the map, menu from the restaurant and the world's largest Ralph Lauren store that I downloaded from the RL Web site.  I printed as a one 8"x10" sheet of picture 8.5" x 11", trimmed it and adhered to my card stock.
Update: I forgot to add that my best friend Victor Torres (I call him Torres) is all about Ralph Lauren. I teased him about wanting to go to the Ralph Lauren restaurant on his 39th birthday. The joke was on me when he informed me that there was actually a Ralph Lauren restaurant in Chicago, so we celebrated his 40th the following year by traveling to Chicago and taking him to the restaurant.  The windy city was not windy at all, it was sunny and raining. We had lots of fun!  Love all the flowers and plants they have on the main road.
1-cut a 11.5" w x 2.75" h Map Findings pp map side.
2-stamped scene with embossing stamp pad.
3-used navy embossing powder.
4-heat embossed with heating tool.
5-cut 1.5" w x 8" h Map Findings pp polka dot side.
6-printed journaling on vellum and placed on top.
7-hand cut stamps from Stamp Book Findings pp.
8-cut 2 (pieces)1/16" strips of green card stock.
9-punched and cut a strip of Map Findings pp map side with EK stamp punch.
10-cut and punched 3" with EK scalloped punch.
11- cut with Cricut Destinations the "the windy city" using Gypsy.
12- cut "Chicago" with Cricut Paper Lace font and welded with Gypsy.
~Neither Cricut cuts had shadow, so I cut a .25" larger designs.
~Used Vintage Findings trims for tag and bottom of journal panel
~Machine stitched.
~Inked most items using Tim Holtz Faded Jeans distress ink

I am entering the Circle challenge of having at least 2 Cricut cuts and to Incorporate at least three of the following types of materials on your project. (Hardware items, stars, raw cardboard or chipboard, twine, string, paint, buttons, staples, or distressed edges)

Layout using MakingMemories Je t'Adore Collection

Welcome!
First of all THANK YOU to all that left a comment
on the It's My Party Blog Hop!!
I am thrilled to have had received almost 400 comments!!!!
And Thank you to all that started following and are still following!!
I will draw the winner and announce it tomorrow!
Today I created a Two-Page LO  for Happy N Scrappin'
using the Romantic Making Memories Je t'Adore Collection

For the upper border, I used a MS lace hearts punch
For the bottom swirls, I used a Sizzix die

I used Core'dinations paper for my base so that I can emboss with a Sizzix hearts folder and my Big Shot Pro~ only reason I was able to emboss the 12" paper.  I run it three times, each time moving the embossing folder down. Following I sanded the paper to reveal the darker pink color.
I also decided to add color to the letters by outlining them with a sharpie. And added dots to the excisting white dots to add a bit more depth and color.

All the journaling pieces (hearts and 10 reason I love you) are from the MM Journaling book.
The flowers are sold by the yard.
The pearls and bling are from my accumulated collection...
I used a piece of one of the journaling book's pages to create my tab.
I inked everything with distress tattered rose ink.

Thanks for visiting!

This are some of the supplies I used~ just click on the link

After all this, I still have enough to create another mini album!!!!!!

The only additional items in this Two-Page LO is the ribbon, the two pins and the snowflake border (I used MS punch and glitter).
I just need to do the journal entry on the left page.  Jasmine signed the right one. She was so happy to have received this pillow pet. (My daughter told me that she really wanted it, so I had to go get it for her!!, I mean, I told Santa!!!).....Now, how can Reyes Magos/Wise Men top this!!! (Please come by on Thursday for HOP starting here celebrating El Dia De Reyes!
The only additional item here is the faceted jewels which I colored with a Copic R89 Sketch marker.
And I still have plenty of glitter cut-out, rub-ons, felt and musical flowers to play with!!!

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks for visiting and leaving such sweet comments!!!

And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Noel Mini Album by MM

Just here to remind you that you have until tomorrow to enter for a chance at this beautiful and versatile mini album kit by Making Memories brought to you by
This is my Mini Album

It comes with so many supplies that if you follow the instructions included, you will have enough to create 2, yes two of this mini albums and have enough leftover for much more.
I followed the layering instructions for the poinsettia with the exception of adding a piece of bakers twine and a faceted jewel.  For the Joy ticket instead of adhering the metallic holly leaf under, I adhered on top and added two faceted jewels. I colored the faceted jewels with a Copic marker to match. I love the rich color attained.
The instructions ask if you have a Slice to cut 4 designs, but since I do not have one (I could have used another cutting machine such as Cricut), I decided to show you how much you can do without a cutting machine.  Just with the abundant supplies you will get in this kit!
The instructions ask that you add the word joy cut with your slice.  I instead used a rub-on included of the word Joy and some stars. For the left page I again added a rub-on of a holly on top of a journaling stamp. (not included)
For this page you are asked to cut a piece of this beautiful paper and decided not to so that I can use for a layout. I will come back and show you the layouts, yes plural, that I created with all the leftover supplies included in this kit!  I used instead a rub-on (all included).
Here, the instructions ask that you cut with slice and place a holly. I decided to use the included glitter die-cuts. I layered the tree on top of a tag with a tree for dimension. I also added some rub-ons and more die-cuts (all included in kit)
Here I added a piece of trim and a glitter die-cut instead of just a lace trim.
For these two pages again I used the rub-ons, buttons and the glitter die-cuts all included in your kit.
Thanks for Visiting!
You have until tomorrow to go visit
BLOG for a chance to win this KIT!!
