For week eight, I used lots of journal cards from the Echo Park This & That Graceful collection including the finally arrived Clementine kit.
I continue to use the Kerri Bradford files for my week and numbers. Here 4 of the journal cards are from the Clementine kit and one (with flowers) is from the EP Graceful collection (love that collection!).
I used stamps by Ali Edwards, 7 Gypsies, Stampendous and dollar bin at my LSS.
On the right side I used 3 journal cards from the EP Graceful collection and hand cut filler card from Imaginisce's Scooter's vacation collection (love the camera strip).
I have two filler spots that I filled with files from the Silhouette online store.
I inserted my flower design/cut into the pocket and added/stitched the buttons on the center of each flower all the way through -- For week nine, the same design will show...
Here you can see a closer look at the "chicken wire" that peeks through week 9 (like that a lot).
For the corner/flower journal card I punched out lots of flowers (confetti) using an EK punch and sealed it by stitching on the top -- on the other side or week nine I created the same confetti pocket.
Week 9
For this week I created my own Happy Meal button/tin pin and did lots of explaining to the McDonald's cashier on how I am keeping this journal book and I really would love to have one of the mini fries container (one that will have no grease).... got it! and used it in on of my 3x4 pockets (just had to trim it a little on the right so that it would fit and ended up opening the right side so that I can insert my journal card). I added in the journal card how my niece loves the happy meal to get the toy! --must be chicken nuggets and ranch sauce!
The funnest or funniest? part about keeping a journal is that I now find myself wanting to take pictures of every occasion! Oh yes, I did tell my niece "wait! before you eat, go back outside so I can take a picture of you with your happy meal! LOL
Here you can see the opposite side of my flower die cut with the buttons sewn.
And here you can see the other side of the confetti pocket -- for this one I also punched hearts to mix with the flowers using a MS heart punch.
On top you can see through the "chicken wire" pictures of week 10... not done yet working on it. Must attend a conference for the rest of the week so no time to scrap 'till Saturday night. Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires at least one of you to journal your life!
