First things first!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YAJAIRA!! --"MI REINA"!!
Today is my only child's birthday!!
and to celebrate that she was born on "El Día de los Reyes Magos"
or Epiphany or the day after the 12 Days of Christmas
I am hosting the second yearly hop with a few very talented ladies!
The Magi, or Three Wise Men or Three Kings as it is traditionally called today and is refereed to as "El Día de los Reyes" or "Día de Reyes" or "Los (3) Reyes Magos" in most Hispanic countries were three distinguished foreigners that traveled from the East to bring the new born KING gifts. (lots of history on this...)
Last year I shared how as a child I enjoyed this tradition that I still celebrate one way or another. Our parents would have us place a shoe outside the kitchen or back door on the night of the fifth and in the morning "Los Reyes" would bring us gifts! --There are so many ways different countries and families celebrate this day (a lot a countries/families do not share gifts on Dec 25, but on this day). You will read several different stories on this hop, enjoy!
For today's celebration, I decided to create this to hang on a wall.

I did not take a good shot of the faceted jewels aka "bling" I added to the "Reyes Magos." But you can click on the top part of any picture to enlarge it for a closer look.
I used too many Copic markers to list them all and a stamp set from Recollections "Christmas Play" and Memento ink in addition to the glitter pen by Sakura.
