A Road To A Friend's Home Is Never Long - Cricut Wild Card

I created this card to give to my BFF who is moving to Northern California!
I used the Wild Card Cartridge for the card and envelope, Core'dinations and DCWV papers
Inside I stamped a bird and the sentiment "a road to a friend's home is never long"!
Hopefully she and I will live by that sentiment!

God Bless This Nest Card - Cindy Loo

I created this card using mostly Cricut cartridge Cindy Loo to give to my cousin/nephew (he calls me Tia-- big difference in age!). Him and his wife just bought a house!!
I used the Gypsy to weld the Doily4 page 71 with it's shadow. I reduced the shadow to fit. I used the house on page 67 and the bird on page 64 reducing it to fit the one in the doily so that I can layer since layers are not available for the doily.
For the leaves I used the layer for the border found on page 65 since again the doily does not offer the layer feature. I just sized to fit on the Gypsy.
I used Cricut Sweethearts for the word "bless this nest" and colored the heart with Smooch paint.
I also used the Cricut Pagoda cartridge for the Kanji word "GOD"
Finally, I used Cricut George and Basic Shapes to cut two circles making sure they were to size using the Gypsy.

BG POTM 2010

My daughter is home and got her to scrapbook with me!!!
We got to play with Basic Grey's POTM kits.
I pretty much created the layout as suggested by the instructions provided/included on the kit with the exception of substituting the name "Lauren" in place of two tiny pictures.  I cut the name using "Base Camp" with it's shadow welded using the Gypsy. I also cut the "2010" and used instead of journaling.

Below is the LO my daughter created
.  She got a bit more creative and added 3D to some of the bottom squares, added and chalked a bird, placed the pictures at a different angle, added two names cut using "Pooh Font" and a sentiment cut using Gypsy Font in place of journaling.  She also cut using punches a couple of hearts.
It was a fun mother-daughter scrapbook day!!!!
